45 RPM Toneolascope Starspinner Adaptor
This prospectus will introduce the 45 RPM Toneolascope Starspinner Adaptor, a newly patented turntable accessory designed to adapt large-center 45 RPM records to a standard record-player spindle while adding a distinctive illuminated display. The device combines the practical function of a conventional 45 RPM adaptor with a weighted structure and decorative elements that rotate with the record.
Standard 45 RPM adaptors are generally small, lightweight components that center a record on the spindle but provide little additional stability or visual appeal. The 45 RPM Toneolascope Starspinner Adaptor uses a circular, weighted body with a central spindle opening to help keep the adaptor seated while a 45 RPM record is played or changed. Its balanced construction is intended to reduce unwanted movement without interfering with normal record playback.
Special Features
Weighted 45 RPM spindle adaptor
Six illuminated spherical display elements
Lighted spinning novelty display
Battery-powered LED lighting system
Keeps 45 RPM records centered and in place
Balanced circular design for stable rotation
Chrome, colored, or translucent display configurations
PRODUCT FEATURES & BENEFITS
PRODUCT DETAILS
The 45 RPM Toneolascope Starspinner Adaptor is built around a circular adaptor body that can be molded from plastic, vinyl, Bakelite, or another rigid material suitable for repeated use on a record player. A central aperture receives the turntable spindle and aligns with the enlarged center opening found on standard 45 RPM records. The body may be produced with additional mass or an internal weighted insert so the adaptor remains seated during rotation and record changes.
Six evenly spaced openings or mounting positions are arranged around the upper face of the adaptor. These positions support spherical display elements that may be made from chrome ball bearings, colored metal, translucent plastic, or a comparable material. The symmetrical arrangement distributes the added weight around the adaptor and helps the assembly rotate evenly with the record.
Lighting components may be positioned beneath or inside the spherical elements. Individual LED lights can be connected through internal wiring to a compact battery and switch mounted within the underside of the adaptor. Structural ribs support the circular body, separate the electronic components, and provide clearance so the battery assembly does not contact the record surface while the device is operating.
The display can be produced in several finishes, including a chrome configuration or a six-color arrangement representing three primary and three secondary colors. Other color combinations may also be used. Materials and enclosures should be durable, securely assembled, and suitable for consumer use. The current modified prototype weighs 1.4 ounces and demonstrates the intended shape, balance, and decorative arrangement; its lighting components are not operational. A production version should remain close to the 1.4-ounce weight of the current prototype. A production version of the 45 RPM Toneolascope Starspinner Adaptor can be refined for long service life and consistent fit.
Arranged around the upper surface are six spherical display elements that may be formed from shiny chrome, colored metal, or translucent material and illuminated with LED lights. As the record turns, the spheres create an eye-catching spinning display inspired by the primary and secondary colors of a color wheel. The 45 RPM Toneolascope Starspinner Adaptor therefore serves as both a functional record accessory and a collectible novelty for vinyl enthusiasts.
Materials needed to produce the 45 RPM Toneolascope Starspinner Adaptor:
Weighted insert or dense body material
Molded plastic, vinyl, Bakelite, or comparable rigid body material
Six chrome, metal, colored, or translucent spherical elements
LED lights and primary- and secondary-color display components
Battery, battery holder, internal wiring, and on/off switch
Structural ribs, fasteners, and assembly hardware
Child-safe finishes and enclosed electronic components

Inventor Highlight
Andy Pinedo studied drafting in junior college and completed a graphic arts course during the 1980s. That training supported the drawing, visualization, and refinement work involved in developing his modified 45 RPM adaptor.
He earned an Associate Degree in Fine Art from Ventura College in Ventura, California. His creative work includes watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil, graphite, oil, and ink. He has also created Fimo baked-plastic figures and has displayed artwork in local businesses.
Mr. Pinedo previously submitted an invention concept to an invention company during the mid-1980s. In July 2016, he had a Product Summary Digest prepared for the adaptor before pursuing the patent process that led to the present United States utility patent.
