Air Hose Retention System
The Air Hose Retention Device is an innovative and efficient tool designed to improve the safety and organization of air hose connections between tractor cabs and trailers. The device features a pivotally mounted first connector attached to a top housing and an outer spool with a built-in receiving area that contains a coiled spring. A rotatable second side of the housing is connected to the first side, allowing smooth rotational movement as the cable is extended or retracted.
When the cable is pulled, the spool rotates in one direction, tightening the spring. As the cable is released, the spring automatically uncoils, retracting the cable and rotating the spool in the opposite direction to ensure neat and consistent winding. The cable is fitted with a releasable connector, making it easy to attach or detach from a trailer’s air hose without tools or complicated steps.
Designed with both convenience and durability in mind, the Air Hose Retention Device can be quickly disconnected from the cab and hose, allowing for compact storage or transportation inside the truck during nonuse. This device not only extends the life of air hoses by preventing tangles and unnecessary strain but also helps streamline operations for truck drivers and fleet managers looking for a dependable, low-maintenance hose management solution.

PRODUCT FEATURES & BENEFITS
The Air Hose Retention System is designed to elevate and protect tractor-trailer connection hoses, ensuring they remain clear of the fifth wheel area during operation. This prevents dragging, twisting, and entanglement, which can cause premature hose damage and costly downtime. Its primary use is in heavy-duty trucking, where maintaining clean, elevated hose lines is critical for safety and efficiency.
The system uses a spool assembly with a small cable that extends and retracts smoothly as the truck moves. A tightly coiled spring provides the recoil mechanism, keeping hoses elevated whether the vehicle is driving straight, backing into a dock, or making sharp turns. This makes the Air Hose Retention System ideal for long-haul fleets, local delivery trucks, and any operation where trailer connection hoses are constantly in motion.
PRODUCT DETAILS
Durability is enhanced with a center bolt securing the spool and spring, and a small cable clamp that reinforces the interior connection point. A weather-resistant plastic cover shields the internal components from dust, debris, and environmental conditions, making it suitable for year-round use in all climates.
Externally, the small cable extends through the housing and connects via a loop or carabiner to a block assembly or bracket on the cab. By replacing outdated bungee cords and coil springs, the Air Hose Retention System provides truck operators with a reliable, long-lasting solution that reduces hose wear, increases operational safety, and lowers maintenance costs.
