The DuCam™ is a compact and efficient all-in-one recording device. Housed within the earpiece are a camera, microphone, speaker, control interface, and a Bluetooth transceiver, all centered around a microcontroller that manages communication between the components. The Bluetooth transceiver links the device to the user’s smartphone, allowing a dedicated app to control the earpiece and store the video footage. This connection enables the app to send audio to the earpiece while receiving both video and audio signals for recording or live streaming. While the DuCam™ functions similarly to a standard Bluetooth earpiece for audio, it sets itself apart with a flush-mounted front-facing camera, allowing users to seamlessly capture or stream their exact line of sight. The DuCam™ serves as a camera accessory for mobile devices, enabling hands-free video calling and recording through Bluetooth connectivity. The DuCam™ can be produced in a variety of designs, aimed at different needs in the market. In addition to the earpiece design, the DuCam™ can also be configured as a single ear headset, headphones, or unobtrusive bodycam design. The bodycam version is slim and easily attached to the user’s clothing, should a head or earpiece not be preferred. Whether to achieve greater comfort or to be less conspicuous while filming, users are given greater agency to choose which model best suits their needs. All models are designed for smooth, wireless filming to allow the user mobility and control.
