Lid Holder

Introducing the Lid Holder™, a newly patented technology available for licensing. As many as 76% of Americans prepare dinner at home several times a week, with at least 49% cooking at home every night. Cooking at home can save money, but it increases the amount of cleanup. In addition to all the extra dishes in the sink, there are food drips and condensation runoff trailing from the stove to the counters. Sometimes these drips traverse over the floor and to the sink. When several lids are lifted from cooking pots and then moved to secondary locations, they can pile up on counters and in the sink, causing mess and mayhem along the way. When several cooks share a kitchen for holidays or other special occasions, there is a lack of space to store all the extra lids when it comes time to serve the food.

The Lid Holder™ is the ideal solution for temporary lid placement. It is a compact, adjustable, and sturdy alternative to stacking dirty lids on your countertop. There is no longer a need to constantly clean condensation and food drips when you remove the lid for stirring or serving from the pot. The Lid Holder™ angles the lid perfectly at the back of the pot, draining all accumulated moisture into the pot and away from your stovetop and counters. The Lid Holder™ is made for every size and shape of lid imaginable and is the perfect addition to any kitchen.

PRODUCT FEATURES & BENEFITS

PRODUCT DETAILS

The Lid Holder™ consists of a flat base, which may be weighted to provide sufficient balance. A sturdy bar is attached vertically to the base with a rod placed across the top horizontally to form a T. Two additional rods are placed at either end of the T, with hooked ends for supporting a lid. These parts may all be separately attached using screws and dowel pins, or parts may be injection molded in a more permanent form. A variety of materials may be used to create the Lid Holder™, such as steel, aluminum, or plastic, depending on the needs of the market.

The Lid Holder™ may be built to adjust to different heights and widths; it can be customized to any size of pot or pan imaginable. Dowel pins can be added or removed to slide the rods for added or shortened length. It can be adjusted to a variety of angels for condensation runoff to be properly directed back into the cooking vessel. Alternatively, if the product is created by injection molding, it can be made to sell in a variety of sizes for all kitchen needs.

This product is designed with every cook in mind. It is ideal for everyday use, reducing mess and clutter on countertops significantly. Cooks no longer need to worry about burning themselves on a hot lid as they maneuver it upside down on counters to catch condensation, grasping it again by the edge to replace it on the pot. The handle of the lid is easily accessible at the back of Lid Holder™, making it simple to safely lift and replace the lid when needed. No more rings of liquid or food splatter need to be cleaned from counters after a cooking lid is removed.

Large gatherings, such as office potlucks and family holidays often lead to a fight for counter space. Many kitchen and dining areas are not designed to handle the sheer volume of cooking and serving dishes flooding the countertops. The Lid Holder™ can be used for slow cookers and serving dishes as well, providing a reprieve to the clutter. Lids no longer need to be balanced precariously on the edge of each serving dish due to the lack of space.  The Lid Holder™ provides a solution to space efficiency issues, as well as keeping the kitchen cleaner, tidier, and safer. It will enhance the cooking experience, soon becoming an indispensable part of your kitchen.
